About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Lawyer to join our team at St Albans City and District Council. As a key member of our Legal Shared Service, you will provide high-level strategic advice on property-related projects and support the Head of the Legal Shared Service in shaping our legal services.

As a Principal Lawyer, you will have a strong background in property law and be able to work effectively across organisational boundaries. You will provide guidance to senior management and have a key role in shaping our legal services.

You will also be responsible for line managing the Practice Management Team and Trainees, and will have the opportunity to provide support to the partner Council's Monitoring Officer.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of property law and be able to provide high-level strategic advice. You will be adept at working across organisational boundaries and have excellent communication skills.

You will also have experience in managing teams and providing guidance to senior management. A strong background in property law and a keen eye for detail are essential for this role.
