Medicinal Chemistry Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medicinal Chemistry Director to lead our chemistry departments and contribute to technology development in a leading Pharmaceutical Drug Discovery company based in East England.

As the Medicinal Chemistry Director, you will be responsible for applying your innovative approach and scientific knowledge to various portfolio projects, collaborating with different teams, and managing scientific collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply expert Medicinal Chemistry and DMPK knowledge to lead drug discovery project teams and deliver high-quality compounds to clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with structural biology, translational bioscience, and computational teams to identify clinical candidates and manage CRO outsourcing activities.
  • Manage scientific collaborations and lead drug discovery project teams to deliver high-quality compounds.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in a Chemistry Discipline.
  • Proven industry experience working in the Drug Discovery space with a proven Medicinal Chemistry track record.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience leading drug discovery project teams, and experience with neuroscience or transmembrane targets.
