About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our dedicated team at A&P Group in Falmouth. As a key member of our HSEQ function, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain awareness of potential unplanned losses of people, time, reputation, and equipment.
  • Report and record health, safety, environmental, and quality performance, and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
  • Monitor conformance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as A&P procedures.
  • Provide advice on health, safety, environmental, and quality matters to line management and the wider team.
  • Ensure that all teams, including sub-contractors, customer representatives, and visitors, receive Health and Safety training.
  • Issue, validate, monitor, and control permits in accordance with A&P procedures.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH general certificate or NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working within the HSEQ function in an industrial or engineering environment, with good knowledge of best practice within HSEQ.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Willingness to work various shift patterns, including nights and weekends, and to be on-call during unsociable hours.
