About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Strategy Specialist to join our team at SSE Energy Solutions. As a key member of our Commercial function, you will play a critical role in supporting Business Energy in making informed decisions backed by data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the pricing strategy across our portfolio, recommending pricing strategies to optimize short and long-term profitability.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop budget and forecasted expectations, demonstrating variability in risk and opportunities.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, making recommendations to react to variability.
  • Develop pricing strategies for new and existing products to ensure price points are set to optimize sales opportunity and value.
  • Provide pricing support to ensure tender offerings are reflective of market conditions and in line with commercial guidelines.
  • Monitor competitor pricing activity and provide insight on competitor strategy and tactics, considering the wider political and regulatory environment.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated pricing experience within the energy industry.
  • Strong commercial understanding, including financial principles, terms, and concepts.
  • Analytical experience with complex data sets and modeling.
  • Experience in planning and delivering complex project activities.
  • Ability to negotiate, justify, and articulate complex problems and actions to resolve.
