Pricing Analyst Job Description

At Signet Resources, we are seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join our team. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining pricing models for annuity business, ensuring they adhere to our risk tolerances and are scalable for future growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pricing Model Development: Develop and maintain pricing models for annuity business, including bulk annuities, to ensure they meet our risk tolerances and are scalable for future growth.
  • Data Analysis: Prepare and analyze policyholder data for pricing, including methods and assumptions for addressing gaps in data.
  • Experience Investigations: Conduct experience investigations for factors affecting pricing assumptions.
  • Valuation Support: Support the valuation process, including Solvency II, UK GAAP, and IFRS17 reporting.
  • Business Support: Provide support to managers and others to implement recommendations and facilitate change to support business requirements.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Comply with the FCA's conduct and senior conduct rules and the PRA's conduct and senior manager conduct standards.
Requirements:
  • Actuarial Knowledge: Knowledge of UK Defined Benefit Pensions and reinsurance structures.
  • Actuarial Concepts: Understanding of actuarial concepts related to annuity pricing and valuation.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills.
  • Qualifications: Part qualified Actuary.
  • Experience: Experience of working within pensions or a similar role with an insurer.
  • Cashflow Modelling: Experience of cashflow modelling and pricing.
