Job Title: Data Protection Compliance Manager

Job Summary:

Chadwick Nott is seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Compliance Manager to join our team. As a Data Protection Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm's compliance with data protection laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Policy Development and Maintenance: Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs): Manage and respond to DSARs in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all requests are handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  3. Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs): Conduct DPIAs to identify and mitigate potential data protection risks associated with new business initiatives and projects.
  4. EU Representative and Data Map Management: Manage the firm's EU Representative and maintain the Register of Processing Activities (Data Map) to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of personal data processing activities.
  5. Data Breach Management: Develop and implement procedures for managing and responding to data breaches, ensuring that all incidents are reported and handled in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  6. Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to ensure that all employees understand their data protection responsibilities and obligations.
  7. Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on the firm's data protection compliance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience of managing data protection compliance in a similar organization.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations applicable to the UK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
