About the Role

We are seeking a Relief Support Worker to join our team at United Response in Truro. As a Relief Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide active support to individuals in their daily lives, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with household tasks and chores, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Accompany individuals on leisure trips and outings, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
  • Deal with challenging behaviors in a calm and professional manner, using de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies.
  • Build rapport with individuals, establishing trust and fostering positive relationships.
