Mental Health Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Truro and surrounding areas. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges and making a meaningful impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide empathetic and supportive care to individuals with mental health conditions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized support plans
  • Empower clients to achieve their personal goals and promote independence and well-being
  • Maximize income for service users
  • Regularly review support plans and risk assessments
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar support role within a mental health or social care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
  • An understanding of support needs and support planning
  • Experience of risk assessing and risk management
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of clients
  • A compassionate and non-judgmental approach to providing support
  • Understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Certification in Mental Health First Aid or relevant training
  • Valid DBS clearance and professional registration (if applicable)
