About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Audit and Research Assistant to join our team at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Governance, Audit & Research Unit, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of clinical audit and research projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Clinical Audit and Research Unit in collating and analyzing data for clinical performance indicators and ambulance clinical quality indicators.
  • Collate and produce reports on national clinical performance indicators, liaising with other ambulance services to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Populate data registries and disseminate information to audit leads in a timely manner.
  • Support research projects as directed by the Research and Evaluation Manager.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Keyboard Skills: Advanced keyboard skills and highly literate and numerate.
  • Experience: Experience of maintaining accurate data resources and advanced experience of using MS Word and MS Excel.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of data analysis and associated software MS Access, MS Excel, and understanding of the Trust Clinical Audit Programme, Clinical Performance Indicators and Ambulance Clinical Quality Indicators.
  • Personal Attributes: Displays intelligence and a strong ability to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly, good problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and able to use own initiative and work independently as well as in a team.
Working Environment

The post holder will be required to work regularly without supervision, meet strict deadlines for routine reports and submission of performance management figures, and proactively manage own workload, prioritizing unpredictable and conflicting demands while still meeting statutory deadlines.
