Clinical Diabetes Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex. As a leading NHS institution, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional healthcare and medical research. Our state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative approach ensure that our team of professionals delivers the best patient outcomes while fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing exceptional healthcare and making a significant impact on the lives of patients
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary diabetes and endocrine teams
- Working with colleagues across specialities to develop pathways and provide multidisciplinary care
- Participating in 1:4 rotational shared care of a diabetes/general medical ward
- Speciality consults and supervision of Speciality Registrars
- 1:9 general medicine weekend, weekday and Bank holiday cover
- Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff, contributing to their development and training
- Contributing to audit, clinical governance and service development
- Support participation in research and clinical trials
- Participating in departmental meetings, case presentations, and teaching sessions for medical students and doctors in training
