Experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 7 Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Children's Community Healthcare team.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with diverse needs. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote the child's development, independence, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental needs and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each child's unique requirements.
- Provide direct therapy interventions to children, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support their child's development at home and in the community.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, educators, and social workers to ensure holistic care for the child.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all assessments, interventions, and progress notes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive post-registration experience working with children in a community setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting child development.
