Senior Credit Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to join our EMEA team at ETRA Talent. As a key leader within our credit risk function, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of counterparty risk across the EMEA client base.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the analysis of existing and prospective counterparties, including corporates, financial institutions, individuals, and state-owned enterprises.
- Maintain a continual focus on global and regional economic trends, assessing how these impact the credit risk landscape.
- Manage the EMEA counterparty risk team, supporting the development of junior staff and ensuring effective collaboration with global counterparts.
- Produce well-researched recommendations for new and existing credit facilities, presenting to senior management and executive committees.
- Take the lead on credit integration for new acquisitions, ensuring a seamless process from a credit risk perspective.
- Engage with clients on both a domestic and international level, providing expert guidance on credit-related matters and managing the credit application and review process.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of credit risk policies, procedures, and processes to ensure best practice and compliance.
- Extensive experience in financial statement analysis, ideally within investment banking, corporate finance, or institutional brokerage.
- Proven track record of forming well-researched credit assessments, including internal credit ratings and recovery analysis.
- Familiarity with managing credit risks in financial products, particularly within commodities, is highly valued.
- Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent professional experience, proficiency in MS Office and Bloomberg; additional language skills are desirable.
