Job Summary

Citi is seeking a highly experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to lead our Credit Underwriting function. As a key member of our Risk Management team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Credit Underwriters and overseeing the underwriting process for large and complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute global and regional strategies for underwriting, including providing first-line-of-defense credit approval for complex transactions and balance sheet commitments.
  • Adopt leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring, including the end-to-end underwriting process.
  • Support close engagement with global and regional business heads, independent risk, regulators, and other control functions.
  • Facilitate relationships with key clients in banking and risk, and with key regulators, internal audit, and control functions.
  • Manage a large, diverse, and high-performing team of directors and SVPs.
  • Oversee UW and IRAU team/credit associates with respect to their preparation of key deliverables.
  • Support the Global Head of ICM FI Credit Underwriting on strategic initiatives and projects.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of risk/risk-related credit work experience in banking/financial institutions.
  • L2 Senior Credit Officer designation preferred.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage with regulators and internal control functions.
  • Demonstrates strong ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to see the 'big picture' in a complex environment.
  • Can make decisions under pressure and short timeline.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiating ability, resolve conflicts amongst various constituencies.
  • Excellent presentation skills - adept at presenting effectively to audiences of various sizes and various constituencies.
