Senior Health and Safety Specialist

Liaising and communicating with clients, contractors, Building Surveyors, architects and more to offer advice and guidance on CDM/health and safety issues is a key responsibility of this role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CDM regulations and be able to ensure health and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key duties include:
- Assisting with the preparation of health and safety/CDM documentation for contractors, clients and others
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to keep them informed of issues on your projects
- Attending pre-contract, and other site meetings and carrying out independent H&S site audits/inspections
- Bringing together all information on how to run the project and ensure Health and Safety guidelines are met
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3-4 years' experience within a similar role
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent/higher
- Relevant HNC, HND, BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in a construction-related topic
- Good knowledge and understanding of appropriate legislation
- Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Living within commuting distance of Cambridge
- Happy to travel as required
The successful candidate can expect:
- Salary: £40k - £50k (Guide only-DOE)
- Holiday Allowance: 25 Days + Bank holiday + 3 Days Christmas
