About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you will play a key role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients and healthcare staff, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical ward pharmacy services, including medication management and optimization.
  • Lead pharmacist for one or more specialties, including plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, burns, critical care, and paediatrics.
  • Act as the Responsible Pharmacist for the dispensary as required.
  • Supervise more junior pharmacy staff and provide guidance and support.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified pharmacist with a certificate in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have experience of clinical pharmacy services, audit experience, and supervising staff. Good communication and presentation skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
