Position Overview
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a full-time, permanent Senior Psychiatric Consultant specializing in Adult Psychiatry. This role is integral to our mental health services, which operate under a structured model, ensuring comprehensive care for adults facing significant mental health challenges.
This is an opportune moment to join our organization, with numerous avenues available for contributing to service enhancement and innovative care models. The role includes a strong emphasis on education, with expectations to engage in the training of medical professionals and nursing staff, as well as medical students. Collaboration with ongoing research initiatives is also a key component of this position, alongside participation in local service user and caregiver groups.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Delivering exceptional mental health care to adults with severe and persistent mental health issues, both in inpatient settings and through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Working alongside fellow consultants to foster service development and attending relevant service improvement meetings.
- Maintaining a commitment to high standards of care and ensuring effective communication across teams.
- Participating in an on-call rotation, with a frequency of 1 in 11.
