Role Objective:
The primary function of this role is to serve as a Core Banking Specialist (SME) in various domains/products/applications supported by RPS. The individual will facilitate effective operations through a blend of technical and organizational enhancements:
• Offer expertise in system and solution architecture.
• Demonstrate understanding and empathy towards the roles and responsibilities within organizations.
• Provide knowledge and insights to influence high-level decision-making.
• Deliver solutions through diverse methodologies, emphasizing continuous improvement and incremental business results.
• Engage in and shape product planning and strategic discussions.
• Validate deliverables to ensure they meet stakeholder needs, standards, and best practices.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach in all aspects of the role.
• Assess and communicate the implications of changes or incidents to all relevant parties.
• Provide system expertise to assist in resolving production issues.
• Conduct regular risk evaluations.
• Identify potential functional risks and challenges early in the project lifecycle.
• Mentor new professionals entering the field.
• Regularly create documentation, user guides, and knowledge resources regarding the business impacts and advantages of product deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver SME guidance across specific domains/products/applications to support all aspects of delivery, design, stakeholder engagement, and service resilience.

Essential Candidate Qualifications:
• Proficiency in COBOL within batch and online (CICS) environments, particularly on IBM z-Series Mainframe, supported by a DB2 database.
• Experience in a banking organization.
