About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Literacy Program Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people in communities of greatest need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, including publishers, authors, and community leaders.
  • Program and deliver in-person and online events that promote literacy and a love of reading among children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement strategies to boost literacy levels and improve life chances for children and young people.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, schools, and other stakeholders to promote our work and engage with new audiences.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience of managing relationships with key stakeholders and programming events.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the publishing industry and contemporary writing for children and young people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and community members.
  • Passion for promoting literacy and improving life chances for children and young people.
