About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Education Facilitator to join our team at the Good Shepherd Secure Unit. As a key member of our education and care team, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of our young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to children and young people as they move through their daily routines, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Act as a connection between our education and care teams, promoting a seamless and supportive environment for our young people.
  • Manage the movement of young people and staff across various areas, including care, education, and outdoor facilities, ensuring smooth and safe transitions throughout the day.
  • Welcoming children, young people, and staff, fostering positive relationships, and supporting a nurturing and calm school environment.
Requirements
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable young people, committed to Children's Rights.
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Social Care and the Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Caring for Children and Young People at Level 3 or above, or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Ability to apply for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a registered supervisor within the first three months of employment and to be registered as a registered supervisor with the SSSC within six months of employment.
