We are currently looking to enhance our Systems Engineering division in London, focusing on various High-Speed and Conventional rail initiatives, by bringing on board a seasoned Senior Systems Engineering Lead.

The successful candidate will possess a diverse background in the Systems, Civil Engineering, Transportation, or Infrastructure sectors.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Systems Engineering Lead to advance their career within a dynamic and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Engineering Lead will be responsible for delivering top-notch Systems Engineering services to our clients, which includes:

  • Implementing suitable Systems Engineering methodologies for projects.
  • Leading a team of Systems Engineers, encompassing:
  • Requirements Engineering (RE).
  • Systems Design (SD).
  • Analytical tasks such as Functional, Physical, and Performance analysis.
  • Modeling activities.
  • Systems Integration (SI).
  • Cost and Value Engineering (DtC).
  • Change Control Management (CM & CC).
  • Validation and Verification (V&V).
  • Overseeing Systems Engineering discipline activities (e.g., Safety, Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, EMC, Human Factors, etc.).
  • Delivering Systems Engineering outputs within established timelines and budgets.
  • Developing a competence framework for Systems Engineering resources.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders to enhance the company's reputation.
  • Collaborating effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • Membership in a professional institute (e.g., IET, INCOSE) is desirable but not mandatory.

Experience in Systems Engineering on large-scale railway projects, including but not limited to:

  • Requirements management and V&V.
  • Systems Integration.
  • Interface management.
  • System Architecture development.
  • Common Safety Method implementation.
  • Human Factors considerations.
