About the Role:

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our Referral & Assessment Team. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of practitioners working with young adults leaving care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of practitioners in providing high-quality services to young adults leaving care, ensuring timely response and action to contacts, referrals, allocations, complaints, and other enquiries.
  • Develop and implement local policies and service improvement strategies, ensuring their effective implementation within the team and service.
  • Provide specialist social work and child protection knowledge and advice to the team, service, and other multi-agency professionals.
  • Liaise and network with other multi-agency partners to provide the best level of support to young adults leaving care and their families.
  • Represent the local authority in a professional and competent manner, making representations at court, with families, and with other agencies.
  • Maintain regular supervision and appraisal of worker performance, including case management oversight, timely decision making, and reflective space.
  • Support the recruitment and interview process for new practitioners, ensuring the team is fully staffed and meeting corporate parenting and safeguarding responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • A social work qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in a management role, preferably in adult social work.
  • Continual professional development and registration with Social Work England.
