Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a Roaming Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across our operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, while driving a proactive behavioral safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop Safe Systems of Work to ensure effective implementation.
  • Investigate and report on accidents and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Wellbeing (HSEW) standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of Health and Safety activities, including inductions and training.
  • Ensure equipment is installed, maintained, and used correctly and safely, identifying potential hazards and mitigating them.
  • Engage with suppliers and sub-contractors to share best practices in HSEW policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular audits with site and office teams to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) and NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • CSCS certification.
  • Pragmatic approach to applying HSEW regulations, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to present to an audience.
  • Proficiency in using Autodesk technologies and MS Office suite.
  • SMSTS and First Aid certifications.
