About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Fitter to join our team at Finning. As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for providing expert maintenance and repair services to our customers' heavy earth moving equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide estimates of arrival time at customer sites in response to service requests.
  • Contact customer site management to register arrival and presence on site.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and provide customers with information for the work required.
  • Identify parts required for repairs and requisition them.
  • Undertake repair and service work on equipment to agreed work plans.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of field-based diagnosis tools and equipment.
  • Heavy Earth Moving equipment operating knowledge.
  • LDV driving license.
  • Apprentice-trained engineer or formally trained with NVQ Level 3 preferred.
  • Experience of a variety of construction and static machines essential.
