Clinical Associate Psychologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our Primary & Community Mental Health Team (PCMH). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological interventions to individuals with complex mental health needs, working closely with GPs, primary and secondary care mental health services, and community organizations.
The ideal candidate will have completed the British Psychological Society accredited CAP apprenticeship training programme, including EPA to IFA standards. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, assessing needs, providing extended brief interventions, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological interventions to individuals with complex mental health needs, focusing on strength and assets to help people with what matters most to them.
- Work closely with GPs, primary and secondary care mental health services, and community organizations to develop close links and ensure patients with serious mental illness can quickly access the care, support, and treatment they need in their local community.
- Assess needs, provide extended brief interventions, and work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, including mental health practitioners, clinical psychologists, and psychotherapists.
- Develop close links with GP Practices, VCSE organizations, secondary care services, and families/carers to ensure patients with serious mental illness can quickly access the care, support, and treatment they need in their local community.
