Clinical Associate Psychologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our Primary & Community Mental Health Team (PCMH). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psychological interventions to individuals with complex mental health needs, focusing on strength and assets to help people achieve their goals.
The post holder will work closely with a qualified clinical psychologist, who will retain clinical responsibility for clinical work carried out. The successful candidate will assess needs, provide extended brief interventions, and work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients.
The ideal candidate will have completed the British Psychological Society accredited CAP apprenticeship training programme, including EPA to IFA standards. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients with complex mental health needs, and be passionate about building resilience and promoting mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychological interventions to individuals with complex mental health needs
- Work closely with a qualified clinical psychologist to deliver high-quality care
- Assess needs and provide extended brief interventions
- Work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team to deliver care to patients
- Develop close links with GP Practices, VCSE organisations, secondary care services, and families/carers to ensure patients can access the care they need
