Facilities Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our university's facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the overall experience of our students, staff, and visitors.
The RoleAs the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of services, including helpdesk, switchboard, and front-of-house operations. You will also oversee the security team, including access control, CCTV systems, and key management across all university sites.
- Manage helpdesk, switchboard, and front-of-house operations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

- Implement and maintain service-level agreements (SLAs) with contractors and suppliers to ensure performance targets are met.
- Manage financial aspects of facilities contracts, including budgeting and expenditure reporting.
- Develop and manage operational procedures to ensure efficient running of all services.
- Support the Estates team with project delivery and participate in emergency planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Facilities Management role, specifically within a university or higher education environment.
- A proven track record of managing helpdesk, security, and reception services in a university setting.
- Strong financial management skills, with experience in budget preparation and control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple teams and services.
- IT proficiency, particularly in MS Office applications.
We offer a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum, 30 days annual leave, plus public holidays and university closure days. You will also have access to flexible working arrangements, including part-time or job-share options, and a competitive pension scheme of up to 18% employer contribution.
