We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Advisor to join our team at FearFree. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our Rediscovering Independence through Support and Empowerment (RISE) Service.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Service Manager to establish and develop the RISE Service, ensuring its continued growth and expansion.
- Triage and assess service users to determine their suitability for the RISE Service.
- Utilize a trauma-informed approach to support individuals in accessing Education, Training, and Employment (ETE) opportunities.
- Support service users in developing work-related skills, such as CV writing, financial management, and IT skills.
- Facilitate group support sessions and one-to-one support, working with a diverse client group to create bespoke action and support plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with ETE providers and corporate partners to expand the service's provision for service users.
- Risk assess service users and take proactive action to address risk and safeguarding concerns.
- Contribute to the recruitment and management of volunteers, ensuring they are engaged and supported in their roles.
- Record all contact with service users and maintain confidentiality.
- Monitor and record data to enable the service to be fully evaluated.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals and an understanding of the ETE sector.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and experience implementing it in group and one-to-one settings.
- Ability to proactively engage with local employers and support networks to promote the skills of service users.
- Car ownership and willingness to travel across the area.
