Support Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Advisor to join our team at FearFree. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our Rediscovering Independence through Support and Empowerment (RISE) Service.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the service manager to establish and develop the RISE Service, ensuring its continued growth and expansion.
- Triage and assess service users to determine their suitability for the RISE Service.
- Utilize a trauma-informed approach to support individuals in accessing education, training, and employment opportunities.
- Develop and implement bespoke action and support plans for each service user, tailored to their unique needs and goals.
- Facilitate group support sessions and provide one-to-one support to service users.
- Build and maintain relationships with education, training, and employment providers to expand opportunities for our service users.
- Risk assess service users and take proactive steps to address risk and safeguarding concerns.
- Play an active role in the recruitment and management of volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to support our service users.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals and an understanding of the Education, Training, and Employment (ETE) sector.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and experience implementing it in group and one-to-one settings.
- Ability to proactively engage with local employers and support networks to promote the skills of service users.
- Access to a car for travel across our area.
