Actuarial Advisory Manager

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial professional to join our team at BDO UK LLP as an Actuarial Consulting Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading accountancy and business advisory firm, providing expert advice and solutions to businesses across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide actuarial advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance, and risk advisory.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions to address their actuarial challenges.
- Collaborate with other teams within BDO to deliver high-quality advice and services to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and objectives, and providing advice that supports their success.
- Actuarial qualification (e.g. FIA, FIAA, or equivalent).
- Strong technical actuarial knowledge, with experience in non-life insurance, including reserving for accounting purposes, IFRS 17, risk management, data analytics, and pricing.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality advice and services to clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- High standard of IT literacy, including proficiency in MS Excel and a willingness to learn additional applications (e.g. Access, SQL, R).
