About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Consulting Manager to join our team at BDO LLP. As a key member of our Actuarial team, you will provide expert advice on a wide range of issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance and risk advisory, regulatory advisory, and actuarial loss-reserving and pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical actuarial advice to clients on a variety of issues, including reserving for accounting purposes, IFRS 17, risk management, data analytics, and pricing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Work closely with the Actuarial team to deliver high-quality advice and services to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, ensuring that clients receive the best possible advice.
  • Contribute to the development of the Actuarial team, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical actuarial knowledge, with experience in non-life insurance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven planning and prioritising skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High standard of IT literacy, including a strong working-knowledge of MS Excel and a willingness to learn additional applications.
