About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Safety Engineering Manager to join our Central SHEQ Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the business delivers projects safely and in compliance with legislative requirements, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all staff are operationally competent for their assigned duties in writing.
  • Maintain and develop all electrical external accreditations.
  • Maintain written policies and procedures across the whole scope of MUS electrical work.
  • Develop new documentation and processes as necessary.
  • Manage the team to provide a service across all electrical work streams to ensure a consistent approach to Competency.
  • Develop and implement electronic field records in association with other personnel.
  • Support the wider business interest, including business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at national forums, including:
    • Energy Network Association (ENA)
    • Lloyds Register NERS Forum
    • Lloyds Register NERSAP
    • National Skills Academy for Power (NSAP)
    • Association of Meter Operators (AMO)
    • Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA)
Requirements
  • Educated to HNC or equivalent, but Degree level preferred.
  • Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer preferred.
  • NICEIC.
  • Hold a Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH.
  • Strong operational background preferably in association with DNOs or similar organisations.
  • Knowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671.
  • Team Management.
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrate clear safety behaviours.
  • Clear focus on operational safety.
  • Understanding of the development of the power industry and its challenges.
