Position Overview

This role involves a temporary engagement with a local authority in East London.

Role Summary:

· Responsible for effective equipment management and cash handling duties while assisting patrons.

· Ensure compliance with legal standards and organizational policies while delivering services.

· Proactively address customer inquiries, manage parking devices, and fulfill client requests to optimize service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

· Execute daily tasks to clarify charges to customers and meticulously follow recording procedures.

· Ensure precise reconciliation of cash and tickets, adhering to the Cashier Shift Report protocols.

· Follow established procedures for lost tickets, authorized exits, pass card issues, and barrier operations.

· Perform minor repairs and basic maintenance on access control systems.

· Monitor and request necessary supplies to maintain seamless parking operations.

· Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervising officer.

· Engage diplomatically with tenants, contractors, visitors, and customers in all interactions.

· Accurately input and document all transactions and daily reports.

· Familiarize oneself with and adhere to the organization's Health and Safety policies and procedures.

· Conduct routine patrols and actively participate in these activities.

· Notify the supervising officer of any defects or issues within the parking facility.

· Undertake additional reasonable tasks as directed by the supervisor or parking team leader.

· Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance, ensuring the provided uniform is clean and presentable while on duty.

· Communicate professionally and courteously with the public at all times.

· Complete relevant documentation in accordance with organizational policies, such as leave requests.

· Stay informed about general changes that may impact parking operations.

· Perform any other duties consistent with the role as necessary or as requested.

Essential Qualifications:

· Previous experience in a parking environment is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.

· A strong understanding of customer service principles and their application in a parking context is essential.

Additional Considerations:

· Flexibility to work evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends as required to ensure service continuity.

· The role may necessitate holding a valid driving license and the willingness to operate a company vehicle after completing the necessary driving assessment.

· This position is subject to a standard background check.
