About The People Co.

The People Co. is a leading food manufacturer seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to lead and manage all supply chain and warehouse activities across the business.

Job Role

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leading the transformation of the supply chain and warehouse operation in line with or ahead of the demands of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Management

Control all stocks (raw materials, finished goods, and factored goods) at site through effective management of the coldstores and stocks within, including stock held at 3PL.

  1. Supply Chain Planning

Plan effectively to ensure a constant supply of raw materials, finished manufactured goods, and factored goods through a self-produced and published stock report to meet the requirements of the sales and production plan for the business.

  1. Warehouse Operations

Manage the 24-hour warehouse operation, including picking, loading, replenishment, stock rotation, goods in, and collections.

  1. Investigation and Improvement

Investigate errors and stock discrepancies and implement changes to improve overall efficiencies.

  1. Equipment Maintenance

Control and maintain all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and PPE.

  1. Procurement

Order raw materials and factored goods to ensure on-time delivery and meet the production plan and sales plan.

  1. Cost Management

Monitor and report on the effects of price variances on the business for all raw materials sourced and report on all usage variances.

  1. Supply Chain Optimization

Manage all the raw materials and factored goods required by the company to meet the production and sales plans.

  1. 3PL Management

Manage the efficiency and costs of import of goods using 3PL.

  1. Storage and Transport

Manage the efficiency and costs of 3PL, including storage and transport, aiming to reduce errors and maintain stock integrity.

  1. System Management

Set up, manage, and own the stock control system, production planning system, and all associated reporting systems.

  1. Stock Integrity

Ensure regular stock checks to maintain stock integrity and investigate discrepancies.

  1. Health and Safety

Ensure health and safety is a priority at all times.

Personal Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager who has:

  • Previous management experience in Supply Chain and Warehouse
  • Experience managing people
  • Experience in multi-temp FMCG operations
  • Experience managing 3rd party storage, couriers, and hauliers
  • PC literate with good Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Good communication skills through face-to-face, email, and phone
  • Organized and systematic approach
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
  • Accurate and pragmatic approach
