Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in a vibrant primary school in Tunbridge Wells. As a key member of our educational team, you will provide high-quality support to teachers and students, contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support to Teachers and Students: Provide expert support to teachers and students in a range of educational settings, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in the absence of the class teacher, utilizing your expertise to enhance student learning.
  • Student Support and Progression: Support students with varying needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), and tailor interventions to meet individual requirements, monitoring and assessing student progress to inform future strategies.
  • Resource Development and Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt resources, activities, and lesson plans, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications and Experience: HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, with a proven track record of working in a primary school setting, ideally in a HLTA role.
  • Teaching Practices and Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices, with the ability to adapt to varying educational needs and support students with diverse backgrounds.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
