Our Preston facility is experiencing growth, and we are seeking a dedicated Inventory Management Specialist to play a vital role in our operations. This position involves ensuring the efficient management of stock and related documentation during shift transitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Despatch Supervisors to understand daily customer requirements and address any shortages to fulfill all orders effectively. Maintain and update the shortages log accurately and promptly. Ensure that stock control systems are managed with precision and in a timely manner. Keep the Retail area well-stocked and maintain cleanliness in the Loading bay/Marshall area at all times. Conduct thorough daily stock checks as necessary. Notify Supervisors immediately of any stock discrepancies. Compile and uphold accurate stock records consistently. Implement proper stock rotation in the Marshall Area and Retail chiller according to established procedures. Complete all necessary documentation accurately and punctually. Assist despatch teams in various tasks to meet delivery objectives. Fulfill reasonable requests from management as needed. Work collaboratively with colleagues from other departments to ensure timely and efficient product throughput. Contribute to key performance indicators related to quality, health, safety, environmental standards, yields, and customer service. Identify areas for operational improvement. Take responsibility for managing activities that ensure food safety, integrity, legality, and quality. Adhere to all standards and processes concerning CCP monitoring, complaints, label verifications, and other relevant documentation. Stay informed about relevant legislation, internal policies, technical specifications, and COSHH regulations pertinent to the department. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene to ensure product safety, with a focus on temperature control and overall cleanliness.Required Skills:
Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office), with a preference for familiarity with FOPS and Nav systems. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies. Understanding of customer service standards. Strong organizational abilities.We Provide:
