About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Sheffield. As a key member of our staffing team, you will provide 1-2-1 support to students with diverse needs, including Autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with Autism and special needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that values and supports every student.
  • Work closely with the school's staffing team to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, young people, or adults with special educational needs.
  • Compassionate and patient character, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work with challenging behavior.
  • Driving license is preferred but not required if you have adequate travel arrangements.
