We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Sheffield. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualized support to ensure they reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a Year 7 student with social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt support according to individualized needs of students
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with Autism and other special educational needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting students with special needs
