Conference & Banqueting Supervisor

Location: Aberdeen

Salary: £26,000

Yellow 42 Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conference & Banqueting Supervisor to join the team at a luxury hotel in Aberdeen. As a key member of the events team, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing conferences, banquets, and special events, ensuring exceptional service and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of conferences, banquets, and special events, ensuring all requirements are met and exceeded.
  • Supervise and coordinate the set-up and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring proper layout and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Lead and motivate a team of banquet staff, providing training and support to ensure outstanding service delivery.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring clear communication throughout the planning process.
  • Monitor event progress, addressing any issues that arise promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain inventory and manage equipment for events, ensuring everything is in excellent condition and available as needed.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu items are executed flawlessly and presented beautifully.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to event planning, including budget tracking and invoicing.
  • Uphold the hotel's standards of service and cleanliness in all conference and banqueting areas.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within conference and banqueting, events, or hospitality in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
