About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workshop Engineer to lead and oversee the daily operations of our workshop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, and supervising a team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of workshop technicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality work
  • Coordinate daily tasks and activities to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Carry out and oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of Volvo plant machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Carry out machine inspections and provide quotes for maintenance and repair services
Requirements
  • A formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural/HGV mechanics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the heavy construction plant industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electronics
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Health and safety knowledge and experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Right to work in the UK without the requirement of sponsorship
