PERMANENT ROLE - TRANSPORT PLANNER


A fresh and exciting opportunity has emerged within our Planning Team, dedicated to optimizing transport solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Transport Planner, you will oversee the daily scheduling and implementation of loads managed through our Planning department. Your role will involve ensuring effective communication among all parties involved and utilizing the Paragon system consistently.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate and current data through automated systems, ensuring that all reporting reflects both planned and actual operations.

You will cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external transport providers.

What You Will Bring:

Your expertise in automated planning systems will drive the optimal utilization of our fleet and subcontracted resources.

You will construct loads from customer orders to ensure efficient execution.

Balancing maximum efficiency with the delivery of customer service agreements will be essential, as measured by systemic KPIs.

It is crucial to keep data related to orders, loads, and shifts accurate and up to date, allowing all users and stakeholders to execute processes efficiently.

You will continuously seek opportunities for sustainable planning that supports the deployment of new fleet capabilities.

Always consider the health, safety, and environmental impact of planning decisions to minimize risks to drivers, stakeholders, and the environment.

Ensure that all activities in the Paragon system are accurately planned and reflect real-world conditions, enabling precise reporting and KPI tracking.

You will focus on maximizing asset utilization and supporting initiatives that deliver commercial benefits.
Managing customer relationships with excellent communication will be vital to quickly address and resolve any issues.

Proposing improvements and collaborating with customers and service teams will be part of your role to ensure efficient real-time solutions.


Skills & Experience:
We seek a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and through digital platforms, are essential.
Experience in transport planning operations is required, preferably in a network planning context.
Comfort with modern digital systems and data application is necessary, alongside experience in logistics and supply chain operations.
A demonstrated commitment to safety, health, and environmental initiatives through efficient fuel use and optimal fleet management is expected.
You should excel in building effective relationships both internally and externally, with the ability to influence and challenge perspectives.

Capability in systematic working methods, utilizing data and processes for accurate outcomes is crucial.

Understanding how to leverage technology for performance improvement is key.
