About the Role

The Warehouse Team Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the site management team in the efficient and cost-effective management of the warehouse operations. This includes ensuring the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enabling the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the receiving, storing, picking, and dispatch of Goods in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain a safe working environment through effective team management.
  • Supervise a team of warehouse operatives and provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Use the MS Office suite on a daily basis for reporting and formal disciplinary processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll have working knowledge of the Warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry, as well as working knowledge of the business and operational aspects of supervising a depot Warehouse operation. General knowledge of the Transport function would be an advantage.

You'll also need excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and train colleagues, and computer skills to use the MS Office suite.
