We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our team as a Deputy Practice Development Midwife - Clinical Skills Trainer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our education team at Barts Health NHS Trust, developing and delivering high-quality clinical skills training to midwives and the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality clinical skills training to midwives and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with national and local education/training requirements.
  • Work closely with the Consultant Midwife for Education and the Midwifery Clinical Educator to coordinate, plan, and deliver the training program.
  • Lead and organize simulation in practice, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Support the team in meeting the standards as identified by the Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST), National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), Care Quality Commission, Kings Fund, Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and other professional/regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with the Governance and Risk teams to support staff in risk management issues and inform practice.
