Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic midwife to join our Maternity Education Team as the Practice Development Midwife at University Hospital Lewisham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering specialist midwifery training to our midwives and support workers, ensuring that our maternity services are safe and of the highest standard.

Main Responsibilities

Develop and deliver training programs for midwives and support workers
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure education and training needs are met
Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with national standards
Support the Clinical Practice Facilitator in mentoring and assessing midwives

Person Specification

Registered Midwife
Educated to first degree level or working towards
Practice Assessor (SSSA Standard)
Minimum five years post-qualification midwifery experience
Excellent communication and leadership skills
