Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant housing regulations, including health and safety standards, building codes, fire safety regulations, and local housing laws.
  • Conduct regular inspections of private rented and social housing properties to assess their condition, identify any maintenance or compliance issues, and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of property inspections, compliance assessments, and corrective actions taken.
  • Identify potential risks and hazards within housing properties and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Communicate with tenants regarding compliance-related matters, including scheduled inspections, necessary repairs or maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with property management teams, maintenance staff, contractors, and external stakeholders to address compliance issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide training and educational resources to property management teams and tenants on compliance-related topics, including safety procedures, maintenance responsibilities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a point of contact during emergency situations, such as fires, natural disasters, or building evacuations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housing management, property compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of housing regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
  • Certification or training in relevant areas such as fire safety, building inspections, or housing law is advantageous.
