Head of Strategy

Harnham is partnering with a leading full-service communications agency that specializes in social change. They work with NGOs, governments, and businesses to address complex social issues.

The Role:

You will lead a mixed-method research team in delivering audience-focused insights for various campaigns. Additionally, you will manage a strategy team that applies behaviour change, human-centered design, and strategic thinking to the business's work. This includes leading program design, campaign planning, and analysis, such as political economy analysis and conflict assessments.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage a research team to deliver audience-focused insights
  • Lead a strategy team in applying behaviour change and human-centered design principles
  • Conduct quality assurance for both teams, upskilling and integrating qualitative and human-centered design principles
  • Assist in proposal writing and business development efforts for both strategy and research teams
  • Sit on the senior management team and advise on best practices for the organization

Your Skills and Experience:

You will need to have:

  • Excellent experience and understanding of strategy
  • 10 years of experience working in research and strategy roles in a social impact agency
  • Experience with behaviour change campaigns and social strategy
  • Experience working with governmental agencies, FCDOs, NGOs, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to break down complex problems succinctly

The Interview Process:

The interview will consist of two stages:

  • First stage: 30-minute team interview
  • Second stage: Task stage and presentation
