Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Wellbeing Coach to join our team at NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering health and wellbeing coaching services to individuals and families, with a focus on early help and prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver health and wellbeing coaching services to individuals and families, using a solution-focused approach.
  • Assess and identify levels of risk, vulnerability, and needs, and develop and implement plans to address these.
  • Work with GPs and other healthcare professionals to identify and engage clients who would benefit from early help and prevention services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote and deliver health and wellbeing services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of health and wellbeing strategies and plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and wellbeing services, and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Childcare Qualification
  • Ability to identify levels of risk, vulnerability, and needs.
  • A broad knowledge of safeguarding procedures and when to implement the escalation policy.
  • Knowledge and awareness of issues which may have an impact on families, such as domestic violence, abuse, mental health difficulties, substance misuse, poverty, early years development, and housing issues.
  • Able to identify what is needed to provide a nurturing, stimulating environment for children.

Desirable Criteria:

  • IT and comms skills, including competence in the use of social media platforms, Canva, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Previous experience working in early help teams or as a health and wellbeing coach.

Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
