Senior Scientist Opportunity

Bionow is seeking an experienced chemist or biochemist to join our development team as a Senior Scientist in our expanding contract manufacturing company in Scotland.

The Role:
  • Design and execute experiments and analysis to ensure effective technology transfer and development of fit-for-purpose processes in line with customer requirements.
  • Record and interpret data in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicate with clients and collaborate with other teams in the business.
  • Follow laboratory procedures to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality work.
  • Troubleshoot scaled-up processes and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Ensure accuracy of raw data and analytical interpretations.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost control, and safety enhancements.
Requirements:
  • Educated to higher degree or degree level in Chemistry/Biochemistry discipline with relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in drug development is beneficial.
  • Background knowledge in process development and protein structure and function is beneficial.
  • Protein purification experience, including Tangential Flow Filtration, AKTA, Chromatography, or Filtration, is essential.
  • A sound knowledge of protein analytical techniques, such as UV/VIS and HPLC techniques, is required.
