Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Immigration Solicitor to join our team. As a key member of our Immigration Department, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members, assisting with the delivery of training and development, and managing a variety of Immigration work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members on Immigration law and procedures
- Assist with the delivery of training and development programs for the Immigration Department
- Manage a variety of Immigration work, including detained clients, funding applications, and Home Office requirements
- Prepare and submit applications to the Legal Aid Agency and the Home Office
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of the Immigration Department's strategy and goals
- Stay up-to-date with changes in Immigration law and procedures
Requirements
- Registered with the Law Society Immigration & Asylum Law Accreditation
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Previous proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators
- Excellent networking and communication skills
- Working knowledge of the publicly funded Immigration work and ability to service privately funded cases
- Experience in dealing with all Immigration related work and some expertise on adoption matters
- Experience in own advocacy is an advantage
- Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills
