The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to assisting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), ensuring a positive and empowering learning environment for every student.
Key Responsibilities- Offer personalized support to students with ASD and/or ADHD, addressing their unique needs within the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with educators to execute tailored learning plans and behavior management techniques for students with SEN.
- Establish a secure and encouraging atmosphere for students, fostering their social and emotional development.
- Assist in creating educational resources and materials specifically designed for students with ASD and/or ADHD.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and other professionals involved in the students' education and care to ensure a comprehensive approach to their learning and wellbeing.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with ASD and/or ADHD is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of SEN support strategies and a strong dedication to fostering an inclusive educational environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building constructive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Relevant certifications or training in Special Educational Needs is preferred.
- Provide tailored support to students during lessons, ensuring their full engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with teachers to promote the inclusion of students in all facets of school life.
- Track and document student progress, contributing to the evaluation and enhancement of their individual support plans.
- Encourage a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and understanding among all students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to further enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEN.
