Nursery Quality and Development Lead

JEM Childcare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Quality and Development Manager to join our team at our vibrant Murrayfield Day Nursery.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about early childhood education to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and learning experiences. You will play a vital part in ensuring that our nursery consistently meets the highest standards of practice and provides a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Room and team members to foster a positive and supportive work environment within your designated area.
  • Work in partnership with the management team to implement best practices across all aspects of nursery operations, promoting continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Ensure that all teams provide stimulating and age-appropriate learning experiences, environments, and resources that cater to the individual needs and developmental stages of each child.
  • Champion the safety and well-being of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor by upholding rigorous safety protocols and promoting a culture of care.
  • Lead and mentor your team, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development to ensure best practice is consistently maintained.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the statutory framework for early childhood education and ensure its implementation within the nursery setting.
Requirements:
  • Hold a recognized qualification at Level 3 or above in Early Childhood Education.
  • Possess a minimum of four years of experience working in a nursery setting.
  • Have at least two years of experience in a leadership role, such as a Deputy Manager or similar position.
